The death has taken place on Sunday 7th July 2019 at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, of Father Joseph O’Donnell. He was Parish Priest of Ballintra (Drumholm).
Born: 22nd September 1963.
Ordained: 3rd July 1988 in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, Co Donegal by Bishop Seamus Hegarty.
Fr O’Donnell received his primary education in St Baithin’s NS, St Johnston and his Secondary Education in St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny. He studied for the Priesthood at St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny and at All Hallows College, Dublin.

Fr O’Donnell was Vocations Director for the Diocese for many years and served as Diocesan Master of Ceremonies.
Fr O’Donnell’s Remains will repose at St. Brigid’s Church, Ballintra on Monday 8th July 2019 from 2pm until Rosary at 9pm, and on Tuesday 9th July reposing at St. Eunan’s Cathedral Letterkenny from 2pm until Rosary at 10pm.
Requiem Mass in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny on Wednesday 10th July at 12 noon with Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.
