I offer fervent prayer and heartfelt congratulations to our new Pope, Francis I. His election was a surprise to everyone. Pundits and Vatican analysts all got it wrong. An hour after the white smoke had appeared a humble and genuine man, dressed in a white cassock appeared in the Loggia of St Peter’s Basilica. There was an explosion of joy all over the world.

Day for Consecrated Life

To Celebrate the Day of Consecrated Life in the Diocese of Raphoe,

A Mass will be held on the 2nd February 2013 (the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord) at 5pm in the Franciscan Friary, Rossnowlagh.


This Celebration gives thanks to God for the vocation of each one and for the generous, faifthful response and contribution Religious give in your particular calling and charism to the Church and the Diocese.

There will be the renewal of vows and prayers for vocations at this Mass.

Please pray for all Religous in the Diocese.
